New Mexico State University will host the annual Aggie Remembrance Day to remember NMSU students, employees and alumni who died this past year. The Aggie Memorial Ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the NMSU Spiritual Center.

The ceremony and reception to follow is open to the public. The Spiritual Center is located on NMSU’s International Mall, west of the Educational Services Building and the Pan American Center, near the university’s duck pond. Public parking is available in Lot 27, which is north of the Educational Services Building.

To RSVP for the memorial and reception, visit Crimson Connection. The ceremony will be available virtually on Zoom.

“Two years ago, we began a new tradition to continue to honor passed Aggies. Every year, a rock representing each passed student will be placed at the Aggie Memorial Plaza on campus,” said Michelle Grandjean, Student Involvement and Leadership Programs associate director.

The Dean of Students office and Student Involvement and Leadership Programs lead the coordination of the ceremony, and departments from across campus assist with the event. For more information, contact the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership Programs at 575-646-3200 or visit the Aggie Remembrance Day webpage.
